Du Matin

A French house formerly one of four families in service to the Bourbon dynasty.

The du Matin crest used to be far more intricate reflecting their status as servants to the monarchy, with contrasting gold and silver Fleur di Lys and a cockerel – a favourite symbol of Louis XIV also known as the Sun King.

The du Matin’s at one point were Watchers, one of the four guardian families who would keep a watch over their city throughout the night, protecting those within its walls from all manner of threats.

The name Du Matin means of the morning.
